Cleaver Brooks Boilers Reliability allows the Corrugated Paper Industry to Rely on One Boiler - NO STANDBY! The corrugated paper industry typically uses one boiler only (no standby) for process steam needs. These boilers are not for comfort heat; if the boiler is down, the plant is down. Cleaver Brooks is the boiler of choice for the following California corrugating companies, the manufacturer of their only boiler, furnished and serviced by R.F. MacDonald Co.
Case History No. 1: One Reason R.F. MacDonald Co. and Cleaver Brooks Dominate In the Corrugated Paper Industry: Response! STONE CONTAINER
Cleaver Brooks has
an inventory of rental boilers available nationwide. The nearest boiler
available in a size suitable for this site was in Seattle; an 800 HP firetube
boiler. A tandem team of drivers had the boiler on-site by Sunday
morning. Piping by our crews had begun Friday afternoon and by Sunday
all was ready for receipt of the temporary boiler. R.F. MacDonald Co.’s performance regarding the rental boiler installation didn’t hurt our chances of landing the order for the permanent replacement boiler. In February we were awarded the contract for a new Cleaver Brooks 500 HP boiler including installation. We are proud to add Stone Container to our comprehensive list of satisfied corrugated paper customers in the area we serve. Case History No. 2:
Gilroy, CA
R.F. MacDonald Co. received the order for the equipment and installation. Other bidders proposed removal of the existing boiler but this would have involved either expensive downtime or the installation of a temporary boiler as well as significant asbestos abatement requirements. In lieu of those unnecessary additional expenses, R.F. MacDonald Co. installed the new boiler in existing space in the boiler room avoiding these costs. All tie-ins to the existing system including steam, water, power, etc., were made during normal down time. Not a single production day was lost and on completion, the job is professional in appearance with ample clearances for proper maintenance. |
