RF MacDonald Company - Boiler Service Technician

R.F. MacDonald Co. has an entry-level opening for a Boiler Service Technician - Trainee for the noted office location. If applicant is able to demonstrate dedication and a willingness to learn, this job could lead to an opportunity to train as a Boiler Service Technician.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Must be capable of working as an assistant and developing the skills to troubleshoot electrical controls and safety devices, repair and/or replace refractory, gaskets, parts, and miscellaneous controls and read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
Assist in the performance of hydrostatic pressure testing of boilers.
Must have attention to detail. Expected to accurately complete all required forms, summaries and checklist daily or as required in procedures manual.

Basic mathematics

Must have good reasoning and problem solving skills.
Must be willing to work hard and be enthusiastic about what you do.

Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma required. No prior experience in the boiler industry is required. Aptitude with mechanical equipment and prior hands on experience is expected.

Other Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required. Must be insurable with no major infractions. Job will require some travel. Applicants must pass an initial and subsequent random drug screening tests.
