RF MacDonald Company - Inside Pump Sales

R.F MacDonald Co. has been in the sales and service business of boilers and pumps for commercial and industrial applications for 47 years. We serve California and Western Nevada with over 160 employees at six different locations. We have over 40 employees involved in equipment sales and over 90 employees involved in our parts and field service business. We are the market leader in sales and service for boilers and pumps.

Position Description: Inside sales position working out of our Fresno, CA facility. This position supports the marketing and sales efforts of our outside sales team and will involve extensive customer interaction. Job will include fielding phone inquiries from our industrial and food processing customers on various pump requirements. Once those needs are analyzed, pumps are sized, priced and proposed in written form.

The successful candidate will preferably have a degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering and sales or marketing experience. Qualified candidates must be computer literate and be reasonably proficient with Word and Excel. We also use the ACT contact management program.

Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated record of working with others to accomplish work goals, and superior communication abilities are required. We are looking for a candidate with a hard working, winning, aggressive attitude who can work independently. Candidate must be well organized and be able to constantly reprioritize in accordance with changing workloads.

Must have a good personal and professional image, have empathy for the customer and the customer’s problems, and be willing and be proactive to do, within reason, what is required to solve problems for the customer. Must respond promptly and efficiently when called upon by our personnel or the customer, in order to promote the goodwill of the company and to assist in the improvement of sales and service.

Must be a “self-starter” and exhibit a high level of output with minimal supervision. We believe our company is very good at what we do by having self-motivated personnel that are very good at what they do. A commitment to excellence is expected.

Must display a willingness to learn, expand in the position and be a team player.
