RF MacDonald Company - Instrument & Control Technician

Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Calibration, start-up, service and design review of control systems for boilers, burners and related accessories.
Installation, inspection, cleaning and calibration of burner management and combustion control systems and their components, with the understanding of their design and operation.
Capable of reading and understanding electrical, mechanical, SAMA and P & ID drawings along with the ability to make modifications to the equipment per these drawings.
Programming of PLC, Loop Controllers, DCS and SCADA systems and HMI systems.
Must have strong computer skills.
Strong in mathematics, algebra, and formula knowledge.
Must have attention to detail. Expected to accurately complete all required forms, summaries and checklist daily or as required in procedures manual.
Must have good reasoning and problem solving skills.
Must be willing to work hard and be enthusiastic about what you do.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred with minimum five years of instrumentation experience in the industry. Applicants with extensive experience in lieu of degree are encouraged to apply.

Other Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required. Must be insurable with no major infractions. Job will require some travel. Applicants must pass an initial and subsequent random drug screening tests.
