R.F. MacDonald Co. has an entry level opening for a Pump Shop Helper for the noted office location. If applicant is able to demonstrate dedication and a willingness to learn, this job could lead to an opportunity to train as a Pump Service Technician.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Assist our pump service shop with a wide range of services including cleanup, pulling and putting away of parts inventory and staging work areas for our technicians.
- Assist when necessary with fabrication, repairs and installation of pumps.
- Drive company truck to pick up and deliver equipment or parts to suppliers and customers in the Bay Area.
- Must have attention to detail. Expected to accurately complete all required forms, summaries and checklist daily or as required in procedures manual.
- Basic mathematics
- Must have good reasoning and problem solving skills.
- Must be willing to work hard and be enthusiastic about what you do.
Education
& Experience Requirements:
High school diploma required. No prior experience
in the pump industry is required. Aptitude with mechanical equipment
is expected. Prior hands on experience is a plus.
Other
Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required. Must be insurable
with no major infractions. Job will require some travel. Applicants
must pass an initial and subsequent random drug screening tests.
