Community Outreach
R.F. MacDonald Co. is grateful for the various community organizations that manage local events, activities, educational scholarships and veterans programs. We believe every community-based event is ultimately linked to R.F. MacDonald Co. and our ongoing success.
In an effort to demonstrate our gratitude, we participate in a number of programs that give back to the community, advance our industry and positively impact our surrounding environment.
The Emmett H. Ashley/R.F. MacDonald Scholarship
In honor and memory of Emmett H. Ashley, our long-time friend and pioneer in the R.F. MacDonald Co. Service Department, we recently established the Emmett H. Ashley/R.F. MacDonald Co. Endowment with Fresno City College and Butte College. The welding scholarship is intended to advance the next generation of passionate and scrupulous boilermakers like Mr. Ashley.

Robert F. MacDonald Fellowship at Stanford University
In memory of our founder, Bob MacDonald and two of his sons, John and Dan, R.F. MacDonald Co. established three fellowships at Stanford University to be used exclusively to provide scholarships each year to graduate students in the School of Engineering. Bob and John both attended Stanford University as well as several other family members. To be able give back and help provide opportunities to others, who will help shape our future, is very rewarding.
