Self-Priming Pumps
Self-priming centrifugal pumps are designed to overcome the air binding flaw of standard centrifugal pumps. During the priming cycles, the pump will separate air from the fluid, creating the proper vacuum needed to improve efficiency of suction and consistency in pressure. These pumps will self-prime with each use, but require water in the casing in order to operate correctly, as dry runs will damage the components.
