Certuss steam boilers provide full steam output in less than 5 minutes. Certuss uses a safe and energy-efficient watertube design for all steam generators developed and manufactured in Germany. A manufacturing plant in South Dakota is opening soon. Certuss is ASME certified.
Certuss environmentally friendly steam boilers range from 185 lbs/hr (5 HP) to 4,616 lbs/hr (134 HP), can be combined in modular arrangements to meet various process steam requirements, are available with oil, gas or dual fuel burners and offer reduced space requirements with an upright design.
CERTUSS TECHNOLOGY
Certuss uses watertube pressure vessel design and is ASME rated up to 460 psig MAWP. Thermal shock proof pressure vessel design means it can be fired on-demand and can accept quick steam load changes without concern for damage. Ultra-low operational water volume contributes to quick start times of 3-5 minutes from cold startup for varying steam loads. Further, the low water volume results in a very compact footprint for the respective steam capacity, especially compared to tubeless, and firetube boiler designs.
Unique air cooling of the outer jacket, which also serves to pre-heat combustion air, results in minimal radiant losses to ambient, and boosted combustion efficiency, resulting in 87% fuel-to-steam boiler efficiency, without the implementation of an optional flue gas economizer. Optional Flue Gas Recirculation (FGR) contributes to reduced NOx.
When purchased as a complete system, combining boiler, piping, wiring, and CVE accessory skid, units will have a UL certification for the entire system. And every Certuss system is fully pre-commissioned, tested and certified.
