US Draft Co. is a manufacturer of draft inducers, draft control dampers, control systems and related equipment for boilers and other heating appliances
US Draft Co.’s products are made in the U.S. in a factory located along the West Fork of the Trinity River in Fort Worth, TX. Their company mission is to standardize the use of mechanical draft and draft control systems to solve the venting challenges presented by the new generation of heating appliances.
VSC – Vent Control System
The Vent Control System (VCS) maintains a constant negative pressure in the exhaust common
manifold or individual chimney/vent. Designed with EC-Flow Technology, the VCS takes advantage of
US Draft Co. bi-directional pressure transducer and proprietary PID technology to rapidly respond to
varying manifold or individual system pressure on Category I, II, III & IV as well as building heating
appliance systems. Utilizing the Truline inline or termination draft inducer, a VIC series control and
pressure transducer, the system interlocks with fossil fuel fired heating appliances to maintain the
required outlet pressure of the manufacturer. The VCS meets all requirements for the National &
International Fuel Gas Codes and the Uniform & International Mechanical Codes.
PAS – Pressure Air System
The Pressure Air System (PAS) maintains a constant pressure in the mechanical room or ducted supply.
Designed with EC-Flow Technology the PAS takes advantage of US Draft Co. proprietary bi-directional
pressure transducer and PID technology to rapidly respond to varying outdoor pressures to maintain a
neutral pressure in the mechanical room or appliance inlet duct when compared to atmosphere. Utilizing
an inline or wall mounted supply fan, the VIC or VRX series controller, pressure transducer and outdoor
sensor, the system interlocks with fossil fuel fired heating appliances to maintain the required combustion
air of the manufacturer. The PAS meets all requirements for the National & International Fuel Gas Codes
and the Uniform & International Mechanical Codes.
SAS – Step Air System
The Step Air System (SAS) incrementally increases the supply air fan based on the number of
appliances in operation. Designed with US Draft Co. proprietary control algorithm and control logic, the
SAS responds to varying appliance demand scenarios to maintain adequate supply air in the mechanical
room. Utilizing an inline or wall mounted supply fan and the VIC or VRX series controller, the system
interlocks with fossil fuel fired heating appliances to maintain the required combustion air of the
manufacturer. The SAS meets all requirements for the National & International Fuel Gas Codes and the
Uniform & International Mechanical Codes.
ODCS – Over Draft Control System
The Over Draft Control System (ODCS) maintains a constant pressure in the exhaust common manifold
or required pressure (negative or positive) at the individual connector. Designed with EC-Flow
Technology, the ODCS takes advantage of US Draft Co. bi-directional pressure transducer and
proprietary PID technology to rapidly respond to varying manifold or individual system pressure on
Category I, II, III & IV as well as building heating appliance systems. Utilizing the Opposed Blade
Damper (OBD), a VIC series control and pressure transducer, the system interlocks with fossil fuel fired
heating appliances to maintain the required outlet pressure of the manufacturer. The ODCS meets all
requirements for the National & International Fuel Gas Codes and the Uniform & International
Mechanical Codes.
DES – Dryer Exhaust System
The Dryer Exhaust System (DES) maintains a constant pressure in the clothes dryer exhaust system.
Designed with EC-Flow Technology™, the DES takes advantage of US Draft Co. bi-directional pressure
transducer and proprietary PID technology to rapidly respond to varying manifold pressures due to load
changes in the clothes dryer exhaust system. Utilizing the Truline MEF Multi-use Exhaust Fan and a
VIC or VRX series control, the system can receive a start signal through a current sensing relay or may
run continuously. The DES meets all requirements for the National & International Fuel Gas Codes and
the Uniform & International Mechanical Codes.
HTS – High Temperature System
Specifically designed to properly draft high temperature applications, the High Temperature System
(HTS) consists of the CB-FH mechanical draft fan and the Multi Use Controller (MUC). With a
temperature rating of 1,000 deg F continuous, the HTS can handle the high flue temperatures associated
with a wood- or gas-burning pizza ovens, kilns and industrial stoves. The use of mechanical draft
ensures that the appliance’s chimney does not become a supply duct for the exhaust or ventilation
systems. Utilizing patent pending technology, the VICx or MUC takes advantage of the high efficiency
synchronous motor to control the draft on the appliance. The controller can determine if the motor has
failed and activates a visual and audible signal in case of fan failure as required by NFPA 211 and the
International Mechanical Code.
